The Bannermen bid farewell to Jake Muzzin and wonder who may be next on Rob Blake’s chopping block. Is it Carter? Hagelin? Kovalchuk?

The league is on it’s annual #NHLAllStar break and the #LAKings are on their mandatory week break, which means The Bannermen can have some fun and talk about a ton of random things going on with the team and the rest of the National Hockey League! It’s Episode 34!

Episode 32: Luff Actually

The Bannermen are done being said and upset of the current state of the #LAKings, so now, we’re just looking forward to the future and focusing on the young talent the team is working on developing for the not-so-distant future. We discuss Matt Luff, Cal Petersen, Daniel Brickley, Game Vilardi, JAD and the rest of your favorite future characters.
Also, we sadly break down the future trades we may see featuring some of the greatest and most important players this franchise has ever seen, which is pretty fitting for Episode number 32. It’s a bittersweet ride just in time for the holidays!

Episode 31: An Ice Time to Kill

The #LAKings have won two in a row, so you’d think we’d be in a good mood. NOT so fast! The Bannermen are the bitter men on Episode 31, because of a few oddities going on in the world of #GoKingsGo. Willie Desjardins has drawn our ire as we question just what the he’s doing and why the he’s doing it. The whole thing stinks, I tell ya, stinks!
We do however take a few moments to gush about Cal Peterson and entertain a thought that would be blasphemous a few short months ago… Might it be time to think about trading Jonny Goalie?!?!

Episode 30: Free Willie

It’s a new era of #LAKings hockey… again. John Stevens is out, Willie Desjardins is in, Adam Oates is around and Marco Sturm might be the future. If it sounds like no one knows what the is going on, it’s because it is a very interesting and sometimes bewildering time for #GoKingsGo. Let’s try to make sense of it all in Episode 30.

The 52nd season of Los Angeles Kings hockey has begun in this, the 2nd season of The Bannermen. We break down the first four games and discuss what’s working and what’s broken with our beloved #LAKings. The excitement for some of the crop of rookies is palpable.
