The Los Angeles Kings’ season is over thanks to a quick four-game sweep at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights. Naturally, everyone is losing their minds and calling for a complete overhaul of the team, from the coaches to the players to the logo to the jerseys. The Bannermen are here to tell you to relax, kick back and listen to an episode that will bring you back to serenity. Just kidding. We are NOT happy! But for various other reasons.

Grab your rally towels, put your razors away and monitor your heart rate closely, because the Los Angeles Kings are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Their first round opponent? The Vegas Golden Knights… a matchup we all wanted if for nothing else, for the incredible royal and medieval puns that will surely follow after each game. We recap Game 1, why things went the way they did and how the Kings must respond to get back to winning. Also, we discuss Drew Doughty’s hit, his suspension and how it will effect the team in Game 2 and beyond.
In the later part of the episode, we break down all the other series’ in the Playoffs and make our predictions for the entire first round. It’s our first episode in a week, which is a personal best for The Bannermen!

We break down the trade. how we feel it will impact the Kings moving forward and how it may give us an insight into Rob Blake’s frame of mind going into the trade deadline.
Also, we #RealTalk the Kings playoff chances and whether or not Jeff Carter’s looming return to the roster can actually be enough to push the Kings into the playoffs and perhaps remind Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson how to be good at hockey again. We discuss Jonny Quick and his recent struggles, as well as the Kings dedication to not scoring in the first period.
Also, we look at what Rob Blake may be looking for at the trade deadline (Hint: It's not Jack Johnson) and how many more wins the Kings would need to make the playoffs (Hint: It's more than one).

Jack Mullet joins the show to talk Los Angeles Kings hockey, the biggest surprises for the team at the half-way point and the team's MVP thus far. We also look ahead to the trade deadline and try to guess who and what the Kings will be targeting.
Also, we break down the Kings' record against the Pacific Division and wonder what the is exactly wrong with the Edmonton Oilers other than Pat Maroon taking a major penalty and costing his team a game. Happy New Year!
